HIGHLIGHT CITY: Renfro Valley, KY

FEATURES: Christmas in the Valley - Join us for Christmas in the Valley as all the Renfro Valley entertainers take us to a rural train station where they await the arrival of the "Santa Train." A true-to-life train that started off as a goodwill gesture and has been in operation since 1943. It stopped off at several train stations throughout eastern Kentucky and Southwest Virginia. They delivered baskets of food to the less fortunate and gifts for the mountain children who may not otherwise receive gifts at Christmas time. The Renfro Valley entertainers will be hosting their annual Christmas Party in the train station and collecting gifts and food for those that the "Santa Train" will be stopping off to see. There will be lots of your favorite traditional Christmas songs and comedy too. • Kentucky Artisan Center - Explore Kentucky artisan works and their stories in the center's exhibit and retail areas, and shop for a wide range of Kentucky products. • Kentucky Music Hall Of Fame - Honors Kentucky performers and all music professionals involved in American Music...Folk, Gospel, Bluegrass, Jazz, Opera, Pop, and Country. • Boardin' House Supper - Good Southern cooking with generous portions. • Renfro Valley Village - Unique shopping experience. • Renfro Valley Gatherin - Second oldest continuous running radio program in the United States.
