This musical follows a tribe of Jellicle Cats who gather annually for the Jellicle Ball at a junkyard, where their wise leader, Old Deuteronomy, chooses one cat to ascend to the Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a new life. The show features various cats showcasing their personalities through songs and dances, including the mischievous Macavity and the outcast Grizabella. After Macavity kidnaps Old Deuteronomy, he is rescued by the heroic Mr. Mistoffelees, and the tribal gathering concludes with Grizabella, having performed the iconic song "Memory," being chosen for rebirth.
