| Day 2 | Monday, December 7: New York City
We will walk everywhere today … no motorcoach available. Meet our local guide and head to the heart of the city: Midtown and Rockefeller Center. Our first stop is St. Patrick’s Cathedral known as "America's Parish Church", is the largest Roman Catholic cathedral in the United States! Next, we walk to New York Radio City Music Hall for a backstage tour. Learn about this historical famous music hall and meet a Rockette (pictures are permitted). This “city within a city” went up during the worst days of the Great Depression, providing jobs for more than 40,000 people. As Christmas neared during the first year of construction, the workers erected a modest sized tree on the site and a tradition was born. As you will see, today’s tree is anything but modest! After lunch, we will visit The Top of the Rock Observation Deck. Top of the Rock’s three levels of indoor and outdoor observation decks deliver spectacular, unobstructed views of the city skyline. With terraces facing east, west, north, and south, Top of the Rock’s panoramic sights make it the ultimate observation deck in NYC. Say good-bye to our local guide as we make our way to Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular featuring the world famous Rockettes. A Christmas time must see! After the Christmas Spectacular, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy. Dinner is at a restaurant of your choice with included meal money.
